Description
'Whenever the Sandaigh Men returned from the foreign wars, they used their Zeissmann Farseeers to be first to spot the eroded Mountains of the Seabarony Lochs and its steep sandy coastline. Drinking their excise free Franchenian fortified spirits they would carouse, deeply and raucously, until the lumbering Royal Airbag Transport Corp machines sucessfully fought the winds, and headed for the safe, well sheltered ports of Homehaven, Sandaigh, or even the well-guarded SeaMarine base at Gullsport.'
Terence Van Cleef's STORIES OF THE SEABARONY ROVERS, Bellmarket Press, Houndsover, Balfourshire.
My TERRAGEN program was taking ages to render this image, but then I noticed that I had the zoom function, and high quality settings activated. The sea was nice, from 200m above the surface, it's just a shame about the cloud formation ...
The terrain is a modified TER file, produced in GEOCONTROL 2 Beta ( I still haven't downloaded the full version yet! ). My next project, using BenVista's PHOTO ZOOM PRO program ( purchased from SERIF), is to render smaller images in VUE, TERRAGEN or BRYCE, and then blow them up in a lossless, sharper fashion. Saves lots of time, and one of my thumbnails looked alright after a zoom x10.
With all this unseasonal warm weather, 'assaulting' Scotland, this past fortnight, I have been busy, visiting relatives in hospital, and helping our supply priest, from south-east Nigeria, fit into our Glasgow city parish. I have covered up from the sun, but I've still managed to get a fair tan, at least on my face, and had a good enough excuse for stocking, and restocking the freezer box with ice lollies.
With long bus journeys, and the recent strong sunlight, I at last had a use for my reading glass / sunglass hybrids, picked up in the ubiquitous 'Pound Shop', in Paisley.
I wish all those going on holiday a great time. Take time to recharge the battieries, and I don't mean the ones for your camera and mobile / cell phone... ;o) Take all the curves and bends in life at a reasonable speed, then you might get round the other side ...
Take extra care, my friend, John. God bless you all.
