Description
'Only the Picked Men of the Corps, ever approached the secluded, sheltered, almost
mythical, SeaMarine base at Gullsport, in North Balfour ( once known as Old Dalriata ). Well hidden from spies, and from all those not of the Blood, and seemed to be blessed with good weatehr, all year round.
Those who survived the training there, were able to turn their hand to navigation,
field engineering, sharpshooting, underwater diving, many other maritime, field and
aerial skills, as well as some arcane arts as well, it is said.
The Corps have a high failure rate, but those who do have to return to units of the Line or Fleet, are well served by their training. Those who die during training, and there are a few, are buried at night, off the heights of Priest's Point.'
Terence Van Cleef's THE CORPS IN THE STORY THE SEABARONY DURING IMPERIAL TIMES, Second
Edition, Vol.2, Bellmarket Press, Houndsover, Balfourshire.
A cloud free render, of some of the SeaBarony, in TERRAGEN 0.94 ( still not got to grips with TG2 ), using terrain developed in GEOCONTROL 2 Beta ( still not uploaded the final version ), and saved as a TER file. I save off PGM, TGA, RAW and TER files to allow me to use the gnerated terrain heightfields in BRYCE, VUE, CARRARA and TERRAGEN respectively. The Dalriadan story grows another chapter. Who knows where it may run now...
After a busy day, four church services, including two weddings, and the unexpected news of the death of an old classroom buddy, I returned home to find one of my sons seriously incapacitated by flu. It's past midnight here, so I'm giving the PC a rest.
May you all experience the Joy and Peace which your Father wishes you to have, as a free gift, not earned, not deserved, but because we are all, each and everyone, His children and He wishes to inundate us with His graces and blessings, John.
