Description
Making his debut this week, is the newest member of the Northern Cardinal Family.
Junior, who is beginning the fledging process, can now fly from branch to branch.
Mama and Papa, who are very attentive, stay very close and still feed him regularly.
Junior has a soft chirping voice and flutters his wings when the parents approach with food.
Papa is very protective and chases away all the other songbirds that come too near.
I took my shots and quietly retreated, as Mama's sharp chirps told me she was distressed by my presence.

This is a wonderful threesome. Your presentation is the best! How many times can I say that and get away with it? But it is true. I got a new songbird yesterday...he's still hiding in my camera...not sure what he is...may have to come to you for help in ID'ing him.

This is a stunning presentation of this family. I wish we had these birds in my area but we don't so I'll just have to enjoy them via your camera lens. I've seen one red cardinal once in my life and then he was very hard to spot but I was in awe of his beauty.
