Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

In this case, the blue helps see all the intricate detail. Do you have ANY B&W in your gallery??? I have to add something big and red to my gallery once in awhile to liven it up. Do you do the reverse? LOL.

great POV !

Looks like one of those big rollercoasters that go up and then drop backwards...fantastic POV!

Such a complicated structure! I agree with Denise, it looks like a ride.

Quite a masterpiece of steel and iron girders. Great capture, Marilyn.

Excellent composition.

You already posted a b&w image this year. Don't overdo it, you might hyperventilate! LOL!

So this is what your previous bridge posting is holding up. That makes the previous posting that much more impressive. Dana

Must say I thought it a ride too, great pov! Bravo!

I love the POV! I love this in color! The structure of this bridge is so complex, kinda like a giant kid with a TinkerToy set, making use of the entire set on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Bridges always remind me of that kind of stuff, and you really captured that fantastically! This is going straight into my favorites.

Interesting POV......................and dangerous! Aloha

Very interesting. When I first looked at it, I thought you were strapped to the nose of a roller coaster with your camera. I wonder how you actually got this picture: you know, like when you're watching a movie and all of a sudden you start asking yourself: "How did they get that shot!?" It almost inspires vertigo. Scratch that, it DOES inspire vertigo. This is wonderful work!

Great capture Marilyn. I am glad you left in color!

lol the comments...tara & bill! Well I agree that this view works in color very well, because the silver & reflected blue and the deep blue sky all need fidelity to be felt. A big complex pov of girders, which feels both protective and at the same time very very busy (like you wouldn't wanna park your gum in there, lol). And a nice counterpart to your b&w version. And I agree too, it looks like it could be a roller coaster ride!
