Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

bravo! Fireworks from nature herself. A big bold blast, you allowed the texture of the intense light to pour out, almost like paint; and the rings of its 'aura' are gently visible close up—and they're beautiful. And of course you allowed the sun to eat up the branches, and turn eveyrthing to that late day yellow-gold. As common as breathing, but as all good photographers know, this kind of commonness is what the camera is for, and you made it blast in our eyes and take us away to a place of light. A perfect holiday shot.
