Description

Seeing this image on my computer of dead sunflower that I photographed, I don't know why, but I thought "If the sun dies" a novel by Oriana Fallaci. I tried a few phrases that I noted when I read the book... They are (I have translated the words literally from Italian to English, also help with the dictionary... I don't know if the translation is good and understands the meaning of words, I hope so). "And if the Sun dies, if the Earth dies, if our race dies with the Earth and the Sun, then what we have done up to that moment dies. And Homer dies, and Michelangelo dies, and Galileo dies, and Leonardo dies, and dies Shakespeare, and dies Einstein, and die all those who are not dead because we live, because we think there, because we carry there within them and up. So everything, every memory, plunges into the darkness with us."

Stunning work Maria, your words are very thought provoking, as an optimist, I believe life will continue and all will be well when we finally wake up and understand the damage we are causing (yes optimisim is good but one also has to be realistic too so I do keep a check on myself!!)
