Hello all!
Happy fourth of July !!!
My cocker spaniel Belle had six puppies the day before yesterday !
She was in labor for the longest time and then it stopped and nothing so we thought all was lost. Rushed her to the vet she had to have an emergancy c -sec . Took the vet and entire staff half an hour (a team of 6 )to bring them back to life . Thankful for how hard they worked to revive all six pups . WOW we were not expecting six !!!

*Reason to celebrate!
So just wanted to share this sweet little new life and what I woke up to this morning one of the babies on the paper. This shot wasn't set up just the way it was (as we can not touch them for three days vet says so they keep thier orginall sent and mommy dog can bond ) the others soon joined .
He is sleeping here but normally this guy is the routy one - my little firework ! )

What a bunch of live wires you are going to be dealing with VERY soon:-) They are precious. We had five in the kitchen the one and only time we went through the birthing process at home. All the effort was more than worth it!!! Have fun, you are building a big time family memory.

Cute little people, Born on the Fourth of July, just like the title of the movie. Pets can't stand the loud noise of fireworks, Kimmie, so you'll have to put them in a soundproof room or stuff their ears with cotton until the holiday is over.

Congratulations on the new babies! I just watched something on Animal Planet a couple of days ago about a dog getting a C-section. they have to do is so fast! The mother can only be under the anesthetics for about 3 minutes if I recall. They had a team of assistants standing by to receive the puppies. This dog had 13, and the 13th was a runt and did not look like it would make it. But they got it to breathing, and the Vet named it after himself, "Jorge." We got to see the puppies a few weeks later and little Jorge as doing great. A nice "happy ending" story.

They are all so cute !! I would have a hard time finding good homes, because I would want to keep them all. :)
