I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

A very handsome chameleon, my nephew (he's 35) has a chameleon called Louis and he adores him. A superb shot Carin.

They are indeed incredible animals, this one may be a foreigner if I am not mistaken. They sport that prehistoric look and feel about them. Very well captured Carin.

Ah, we humans do change when it suits us, do we not? I love this shot, these little guys are amazing. Lizards have always intrigued me, even the gigantic iguanas I saw in Mexico. Prehistoric, primal, they're just survivors and maybe that's what I see in them.

Wonderful capture of a chameleon, I think they practice this pose a lot, it seems to be the classic one for them. Love the analogy, chameleons change their color for protection and survival, humans can be so much more trivial than that. Thanks much for the share!

Stellar colors, lighting and textures in this fine portrait of the chameleon, with its glum expression, serrated spine and most efficient revolving eyeballs, ever alert for predators or prey, Carin!
