I don't have to explain too much how these women fish.( You may zoom it)
When men have plenty women too are happy. During this season women, handicapped, beggers come to collect fish from the fishermen. As a matter of belief fishermen give generously to these people. They believe it pleases the 'Mother Sea' and bless them with plenty.It is also a practice of thanks giving to 'Mother Sea'(that's how they call her- 'Kadalamma'- Ma stands for mother)
I had a conversation with a 12yr old boy (previous post). His mother is one among them. His father died and has two sisters. They came from 150km distance. He asked me whether I know a particular beach. I said yes, what is the matter? He repplied; "My mother said there are plenty of fishes at that beach."

I understand the giving back to the mother sea. I have always been taught that for everything I have, a portion must go back in some way. This is a wonderful collage and one that shows how caring for others, even if done for some other reason, is key to bringing all people together. We are here to be happy and happiness is greatest when it is gotten by helping others.
