Description
I found you
Lying in a field
Deep in a slumber
The morning sunshine
Glimmered across the dew
That covered your face
Your damp cloths
Clung too you like a lost child
Finding her mother
Your body barely moved
As you breathed
I sat and watched you forever
I couldn’t decide
Should I wake you
Would this angel
I found in the grass
Fly away
If I didn’t wake you
Could I have you forever
Even if it was just to look at you
With fear in my heart
I leaned over
And kissed the sleep from your eyes
With a tender smile
You opened your eyes
My angel did not fly away
I pray this is the first day
Of a happily ever after
As always if you love to lay in the grass as the morning light touches your face, or you believe a fairy tale is just one kiss away then this poem is for you
