Description
Captured 5/25/09, at the beautiful Los Angeles National Cemetery in beautiful West Los Angeles, California.
More than 86,000 veterans, going back to the Civil War, are interred there.
A ZOOM is strongly recommended.
First shot: there were so many persons in authoritative roles out there at the cemetery that I have really no idea who these two well dressed individuals were, probably guides. As for the neck wear, possibly symbols of a club.
Second shot: an old disabled veteran.
Third shot: the oldest Boy Scout on the planet.
Fourth shot: someone who was most flattered and happy to be photographed.
Fifth shot: Two veterans of the Korean War. You may recall that the uniformed gentleman on the right was the last person in the parade previously posted.
Tallyho.

They all look so happy to be there; I like the neck hardware on the top two guys. I have no room to talk, but the boy scout looks like he needs to do some heavy hiking. Great shots, Harry!

These are great, I love the women with the patriotic sweater, the matching dress and shoes and the gold purse. :)

Harry, you've done a grand job of profiling all sorts of participants. Lots of personalities just pop out of your pictures. I don't know much about the Masons, but from a little online research, that's what the gents represent in the top photo. Another super collage.

these are terrific harry! The top people are kind of generic 'official' people, they actually look like they're waiters at a very strange restaurant (lol)...The second is very touching, he still came out for this despite being unable to walk (or walk well): a fine addition after all the stout marching souls in this series, it's very moving...The third: Lol! Not just the oldest scout, but maybe in need of some major salads and fruits! (Hope he's not reading: I wouldn't wanna get into a fight with this guy!) The lady's great, esp with that flag-sweater (I assume people aren't offended by that: If I'm showing my lack of etiquette, many apologies). Great smile, great addition to the bunch! And the last: I recognized him immediately: Nice to see him back. He has such joy to be there, and with others who were part of service. And nice to see the shine of his helmet and the fineness of his uniform. Wonder if that isn't a brother or old vet friend by his side: Nice warm comraderie, and nice that they smiled for you too. This is terrific Harry, the whole bunch. another fav for sure. Fine & very human work and you definitely have a flair not only for combining pics into a whole (and you have some very different shots here), but for capturing the poignant moments—and funny ones too—in your journeys. A great little sequence; it must be exacting to know what to pick and how to put them together. Believe me, I don't take that for granted...

Lovely collage and wonderful diversity. Very unique uniforms and medallions on the first shot, and poignant image of the old disabled vet. My Dad landed on Omaha beach, so it made me think of him.
