UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Wish I had my bird book with me bill, I know there are so many different kinds. danny would know :) He knows his birds. what I love about this shot is how you managed to get all of the birds in perfect focus!!! I know if it was me taking this, only one would be somewhat in focus .. unless of course I start using my tripod, then maybe that ONE would be good. ;)

Nice capture. This does look like a crew that's still learning the ropes. They spend more time trying to figure it out than actually getting the seeds. We watch the younger jays come and study the situation and leave without taking anything at first. Then they can't decide and pick everything up and still don't take a seed or nut. Fun to watch.

Very cool shot!!

fantastic capture!!!

The only thing I know for sure is that they're little birds on your deck railing, and that they're awfully cute. Excellent capture of the family out for their morning meal!

The first thought I had when I saw your title was of my family on our annual trips from Phoenix to southern California. We'd leave around 2 or 3 am, to beat the desert heat, and stop somewhere for breakfast. I'm the oldest of 5, so you can imagine the bedlam, getting all of us fed with a minimum of chaos!! Great shot---I think these little guys are much better behaved than we were!!

Awe they are so lovely. They are lucky birds in your garden. Sorry not really up on birds names.

nice capture

I usually have to get on-line and go through bird IDs for whatever is located in my area when I take birds shots. Its not always easy, especially for these smaller brown birds. Lovely shot though and seeing them still traveling together as a family at this age is great.

very great image I love the way daddy / mommy are watching them

Neat pic, Bill. Agree they look like and act like juveniles. But I suspect they are finches of one type or another. Our Peterson guide is in the storage unit, darn-it.

Since all I ever see around my area concerning birds are crows, pigeons and sparrows, then I can definitely say with some authority that these are sparrows. As for any particular variety, I haven't a clue. The three birdies on the right look like they've already had their fill of safflower seeds, and are just hanging around, fully sated, digesting their repast.
