Wonderful work here Mark as I can see exactly how it got the name. You did a grand job in illustrating the dark veil being torn away here as you can see the powerful and almost glowing light of love penetrating it.

It's like the Northern Lights have come rushing in and splashed up against my window. Liquid light ... I like that!

Wow! This is glorious. What a fluid balance you've achieved. I see darkness and light moving in harmony. I don't know how to express my admiration for this other than to say it's inspiring. I agree with auntietk--it's got that shimmering brilliance of the Northern Lights combined with frost or rain on glass. I find this deeply moving.

This is the kind of art you do SO well, bringing light and love into the world. It's what sustains me, knowing there is so much more out there; more love, more light, more laughter---truly magic!!!

A splash of light!!Yes,i agree with Tara...Liquid light..i can see it going up and falling down again and embracing the dark in such hamony, like belong to each other..and i think it is like that: "the dialectic of contrary":the true concept of life:)))Mark, and you teach all of that here, in your image, that undeniably tells the true! And your colours are so eloquent:the green, the pink and the blue yet the water..for me your image is a meeting with the four elements of nature and all the meaning of life.Touching all around and so clairvoyant!Thank you for your wonderful art,Mark, and for doing this.

Wonderful illustration of our present condition. Here the battle between light and darkness continues but in the end darkness has already been defeated!

Just enough darkness to appreciate the vivid colors, textures, and light. Your art is always full of love. CC

I can see many trapped in the darkness one is a child with sad eyes ,in front of her a man that doesn't know what do do.On the right is two more men one speaking to a crowd ,one is standing alone. But in the watery light there is happiness. What a beautiful title and image.

A beautiful blend of grungelike colors and texture in this, another stellar concept from your talented mind and fingers, Dave! I don't know about love, but I know that meteorites, moonlight, headlights, taillights, street lighting, chupacabras, incubi, succubi, vampires, along with the baying of wolves and hooting of owls, among other things, have no problem penetrating the darkness.

It's been raining .. you can see the moisture and the fog still on the window, the sky is bluing up, and you can almost see the woods beyond the garden through the hanging branches of the willow and the early morning mists ...

When my Mom lived down in Louisiana, one of the side trips we took was into a bayou area. The lighting was just before sunset and the colors were magical. Not quite like this, but the same kind of emotion is evoked. Gorgeous and dreamy work Mark!

Tara stated it perfectly - liquid light! Your work resonates at a very deep emotional level - no recognisable shapes to focus on, just colour and form and most of all, feeling. Outstanding!

For some reason this reminds me of a walk in the park in the early morning where I find the fog slowly rolling in. Beautiful as always and so heart felt.

When I looked at this image, first on thumbnail and then on zoom, I was struck by its beauty and the way that the darkness accentuated the colors. Then I realized that I wasn’t seeing all of the image. I shrunk it down from 100% to 75%…and there was the light! I had noticed before the two tall columns in the distance, each with a small light, one blue and one yellow, and a smaller column with a blue light between them. A story began to meander through my brain. A universal sort of story that most of us experience in one way or another. I think of the times in my life when I have suffered and have begun to construct veils of darkness to close myself away from life. There was always love, whether of people, of books, of music, or of the world around me that was a light that keep the veils from becoming opaque. Even when I felt myself to be most alone, it was that love that kept me from closing myself in completely. That love is a spark within us that allows us to reach out even if sometimes it is a very cautious and tentative motion. When I look at this image, I see it as me, looking out at others and my light is shining out, albeit with a few veils of darkness around it. The three lights in the distance have their own veils of darkness, and their own lights of love that shine forth to penetrate it. The love that penetrates our personal darkness comes from within and, as the old cliché says, it shines greatest when it is given away. This is a beautiful image with wonderful colors, patterns, and shapes, and with darkness and light. Once again your image set me to thinking, and to interpreting the emotions I felt when I look at it. I love that about your work. Thank you!
