Description
Whale watch off Gloucester, MA about 30 years ago - nasty cold weather that day. I have not had the best of luck scanning photos that old but here is my second pick. We found that when a whale came in close, the whale would roll over on one side and "wave" their flipper at us. We also found that when everyone, on the boat, - clapped, whistled and screamed, the fin "waving" lasted longer and more energetic.
Keep in mind that we are out in the Atlantic Ocean and not at Sea World.
