Description

In our modern day world there is still the Amish and their everyday travel. Makes you think. So I put the question out there.....what can you live without? Thanks for all the views, comments and favs!! Hugs Trina Zoom works well.

Ouch, good question. Great picture by the way! The question is easy because all one has to do is picture going camping for a week or going to the field with the Army and then list those things not needed like a car, air conditioning, big house, TV, electricity, a freezer, etc...but these days, thank goodness we don't have to face those choices...until the power goes off!

Great shot and very poignant question.... If the economic trend continues ... many of us may have an answer to that question!!! And the folks driving these buggies will go on, business as usual... If we had a nation wide computer virus, it would cripple most of us, and they would become the folks we all went running to for help... The last become first, something to ponder!!! Tom

UH... went without power and water 14 days last year no tv for 21 was not fun... we are rather spoiled. Oh and the stores didn't have much either... if you had money. After Hurricane Ike... But at least I still had a house and car but gas was $4 a gallon. Many people had it worse than we did. We were camping in the house. Couldn't afford a generator or the gas to run it. But we survived. Enough of That! Great shot!!!!!!

Guess this is easy if we had to go without things in the first place! The more we have the less it seems we can go without.. Nice image of one society who seem to know the answer to this better than most.

this mode of transport would have a low carbon footprint, and something to dig into your rose bushes as a bonus! Great capture and thought

I can live without cars for sure! I love the Amish carts and horses and their simple lifestyle. This is a wonderful shot, reminds me there are simple pleasures:-)
