Description

This is not the most fascinating photograph I've ever taken, but I just couldn't resist the "awwwwwww!" factor. Aren't they just the cutest things? I'm just a hair over 5'4" tall, and I took this picture from a normal standing position, which should give you some idea of how tiny these horses really are! Later in the day we saw these little guys being ridden by some very young children, which amped that "awwwww!" factor even higher!

well the awwww factor is fine! We all need some awwww in our lives. But the picture is beautiful as well. Really nice light on the horses, nice pov, nice contrasts in their manes, hair and saddles. It's a bright and luminous capture. And I like how you caught them 'bunched up' that way, so we could see the rhythms and massings of their bodies. Very nice shot, I love the light, and yes, they're also quite cute.

Definite Awww shot. Several years ago, and mind you I live in the city, I was getting ready to take my daughter to school and I hear a 'clop-clop-clop' coming down the road. And when I looked up there was a mini-pony just trotting down the middle of the road... I called my husband who proceeded to get the pony in the yard behind the fence where it would be relatively safe. When I called the police they were a bit skeptical but sent someone out.. lol. A kind officer, who took a picture of my daughter and the pony, and sent her with an excuse for being late to school. And that is my experience with one of these little guys. :)
