Description

Full size view recommended. When I was a kid I used to have posters of Roger Dean all over my bedroom walls. "Flight of Icarus" was one of them. I recently came across this image again somewhere on the net and I decided to make my own version, my homage to the great Master. Of course, my image pales in comparison but still it was fun to make. No postwork, except for signature. Thanks for watching!

I had never heard of Roger Dean before. Thanks for bringing that great artist to my attention :) Your picture is a wonderful hommage, it has its own characteristic charm. I especially like the lighting.

Very nicely done! I wonder where those birds are off too. I always did have a soft spot for chunks of worlds adrift in space, waterfalls at the edge of the world and such...

I was a huge Roger Dean fan, as well. I haven't thought about him in decades. You did a good homage to him. It has that kind of fantastical feel to it.
