Description

This is just a weed in bloom and I captured it during this past summer. I have no idea what it is but I thought the flowers were pretty. If you can zoom, it will definitely enhance the viewing pleasure! Thank you for visiting my gallery and for your very kind comments and favs on my upload of Kayla!! We had a super weekend! Stay well! Hugs, Carin xx

Well, this just proves the saying that a weed is just a plant that's growing where you don't want it. This looks to me not like a weed, but like an exotic poppy ... something to be tended and fussed over and celebrated! The petals are so tissue thin, the color is to die for, and the conrast between the soft flower and the spiky plant is spectacular!

Why do people often think weeds are ugly things? They often are beautiful, just like this one. So delicate... no wonder it needs these thorns to protect it. Great DOF, too.

Pure art, your composition is absolutely gorgeous I love the way the plant looks so menacing with its sharp thorns but yet so beautiful as it fades into the depth of the image. The flower; so delicate with such stunning detail your POV and presentation draws your eye to each eliment for a closer look!!

A beautiful weed, Looks like a bunch of these under the windows would not only look great but keep the burglers out too.

Stellar soft capture, Carin! Say, that looks suspiciously like one of the periodic blooms I see growing on cacti around these parts. It sure has the petals, pistil and stamens for it.

A weed is just a flower in the wrong place they say, and this just proves that, as this would look lovely in any garden. A beautiful capture.

Very beautiful and soft capture. Love the color and it looks to be a nasty weed to have to pull out. Dana

Most everyone has agreed this is just a flower in a place where Mother Nature has made a decision to let it grow. And you know as non-confrontational as I am, I will certainly adhere to the their wishes...So please don't ask me to pull weeds anymore...lol Great capture of this flower!! Love the photo...love the photographer!!!
