Description

This image is dedicated to Laura (crys-laura). She is a very lovely and sweet girl and a close friend to me. She lives in Sao Paulo Brazil and has been studying to become a doctor. Laura is very talented and does art in Poser when she has time. Her art is beautiful and enchanting and I fell in love with her gallery the moment I saw it. You will notice she features cats in her art some of the time. Here is a story so you will know why. Laura told me many stories and this one touched me the most and shows how beautiful her soul is. Hope you like it Hun Flowers From Tiggy (For crys-laura): When Laura was a little girl she had a cute and loving cat named Tiggy. He was her best friend and they loved each other for years. Sadly when Tiggy turned eleven he became ill and soon passed on. Little Laura was devestated and Her Father Osvaldo and her both cried for days. She asked her Dad to take Tiggy to their house in the country and bury him because it is so beautiful there. A few days later Laura was cleaning up Tiggy's food. She noticed a small seed in the food that she bought from the pet store. She guarded the seed and waited for Osvaldo to come home. Laura gave her Dad the seed and asked him to plant it on top of Tiggy's grave. Months later her Dad came home from their country house with a present. He came into Laura's room and held out a small pot with a beautiful flower in it. Osvaldo looked at little Laura with tears in his eyes and said (This is the flower from Tiggy's grave, he asked me to give it to you). Laura missed Tiggy so much but his lovely gift of this flower gave her strength. Laura knew that Tiggy was safe and playing in Heaven. What a touching story and image! Dave only you could think of ways to tell the story through your images. Great job, I really like how you strategically placed the photo of Tiggy on her dresser. Nice touch!

You are so good at this! I love the story, the storytelling, and the image is wonderful. I appreciate the cat in the frame, the gesture of giving, the surprised reaction on her face, the shadow on the floor, and all the other small details. Another wonderful and heart-felt dedication.

What a wonderful story.. and beautifully rendered. The cat photo is a very nice touch. I used to have a cat that looked very much like Tiggy.. his name was Howie.. he shared my life for 17 years.

This story tugged at me, as it reminded me of a cat that I played with when I was eleven or twelve. Bosco belonged to my mother's friend and I was always excited to play with him, even though I was allergic to cats. Good times then. It's a great image, made even greater with this story. :)

What a sad yet sweet and happy story. You have me all teary eyed .. You have such a great heart .. you are able to take someone's story and bring it to life in such a wonderful and warm and loving way. You get the expressions on the kids and the adults faces just so perfectly right! You even get the little details .. the cat's photo .. and using her avatar (which looks to be a photo of her) in the scene as well! Your attention to the small things makes each of your aritistic renditions of the stories you hear just so awesome and so heartwarming. You paint the picture with your art and your words in such a magnificent way. Thank you Dave, for sharing that talent with us.

You know I'm a big softy for cats, so this story struck a cord with me. Even though there is sadness in the loss of Tiggy, there is great joy in the close connection Laura had with him and in the love that lasted beyond death. What a wonderful story of finding the seed! I found a seedling by the area where our garbage was put out and carefully dug it up and planted it out by the compost pile. This was a rich environment and it grew quickly and was an apple tree. This was in New Jersey and years later, when I was in the area, I went to see, and it was still there. It made a connection for me with my past, just as the flower made a connection for Laura with her beloved Tiggy. Wonderful image. I love the pictures of Laura and Tiggy. Wonderful expression on Laura's face as she reacts with joyful surprise at the gift from Tiggy. Her father's expression, though only partially seen, radiates love and happiness at being able to give comfort to his daughter. Beautiful shadows and lovely details of the building outside. Very nicely done, as always.

Beautiful image! How satisfying expression of the child and what a relief in the face of his father at that moment she sees the child quiet. Words are logical consequence of the image in the transition from a pain they frte a great awareness of life, with its good times and less beautiful moments, but it is worth living!
