Description

In the High North, amid the frozen spires of the Great Mountain called Korrew-Dun, a race of beings dwell in a kingdom called Arin-Ren. Reclusive from most of the realms, they are a society unto themselves and only tarry with outsiders when the needs genuinely demand it. Long languishing of illness and age, their King, Mortain, was bereft of hope when his sons were lost in their youth, as well as his own fair bride, leaving only a daughter to succeed him in the time of his passing. Serryf, the only living child of the king, was schooled carefully and intensively in the ways of her Father's rule, the laws of Arin-Ren, of the world outside their cold kingdom, politics and trade, courtly matters and government. When the day came to pass and her Father's advisor came to her chambers to inform her that it would now be she who would be seated upon the crystal throne of their kingdom, she took up his silver sword and swore her loyalty to her crown, her people and her world. Now, firmly embedded in the minds of her people as the most fair sovereign of their lands, Serryf seeks the one thing that her forefathers had always shunned, allegiance with the other kingdoms of their world and a shared loyalty with their nearest neighbor of the Southern Coast, Clerin. Extending an invitation to the king of Clerin, she waited in her crystalline chambers, her childhood guardian and companion, the white tiger, Kigan, she awaited the King and his entourage with every intent of greeting them warmly and with friendly intent, despite the harsh cold of the realm of Arin-Ren was known for. ~~~~ Still trying to get the postwork shaders and my computer to cooperate (I'm thinking couples counseling eventually), so I present to you another character from the world of Ianthia and Jakara. Lovely Serryf. Nicely done. Don't know how I missed this. And I like kitties no matter what size they are. The palette of cool colors and just the right lighting to give it that really frigid look helps a lot. Well done.
