Description

This is a 30-something- hour's work, building this non-historical monument, entirely out of Bryce terrains, except the pillars (made of primitives) and the golden lion at the top of it. (the city in the background is also made of terrains). I didn't know how to name this image, but came across a biography of Akbar the Great (1542-1605), considered the greatest of the Mughal emperors and known for his extreme tolerance to all religions. He gave respect not only to Muslim scholars, but also to Hindus, Christians, Parsis and Sikhs. Those who came to his court were given respect, and the Emperor heard their views, sometimes alone, sometimes in the Ibadatkhana (Hall of Worship), where people of all religions assembled and discussed their views in a tolerant spirit.

Incredible work! How amazing you used terrains for sculpting the majority of this scene. I am lucky if I can make a convincing hill in Bryce. : ) I like your inspiration, too. If only humans could learn tolerance, that would be such a wonderful thing.

The time you've put in it is evident .. the work is not only meticulous, it is beautiful! Darned near photographic! What gives it away is the fact that they didn't have cameras back in those times, LOL! Wonderful history to the image as well, I can imagine he would have a summer palace such as this serene place!
