Description

A few evenings ago, I went with some of my friends for a walk to Acitrezza, a village a few kilometers from Catania. The panorama of Acitrezza is dominated by the "Cyclops Faraglioni", eight colourful rocks that, according to legend, were fired from Polyphemus to Ulysses during his escape (Odyssey by Homer). It's also the country where Giovanni Verga environment his novel "The Malavoglia," which tells the story of a poor family of fishermen. In the photo, taken at sunset, the bigger Faraglione and the small island Lachea! I wish you a good Sunday and a wonderful start week! :)

Fantastic capture and motif, Maria. Stunning light and atmosphere. Amazing rock formations. Maybe they come from ancient volcano activity.+5
