My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I wish I could come up with half the titles you do. I look at this shot and think "open up and say ahhhhh". Looks like a fuzzy tongue :)

Tiger, Tiger, burning bright In the forest of the night, What immortal hand or eye Could frame thy fearful symmetry? --Quite the question to ask an iris, but I can see the connection, and perhaps a bit of fearful symmetry here and there. Great work, the intensity of it is what strikes me the most. In a sense, this IS the tiger of Irises. Those stripes are almost predatory. Great details...I love the folds and dips, and that "tongue" like some strange and exuberant caterpillar! This is gorgeous!

It looks very sleepy Tara :-) It makes me yawn too. LOL! A wonderful macro indeed. Splendid colors and details.
