Description
Ok my first attempt at Matte painting. The buildings are a mix of Bryce and photoshop, whilst the other elements are from photos. I'd appreciate any constructive criticism as I'm looking to learn so I can progress.

Beautifully done. I suppose something to give a feel of scale MIGHT be a plus - though I'm not sure how easy that would be in this picture. For a first picture in this style, I'd say you pretty much nailed it.

Hey Joe, It looks great. The only thing that I could possibly nitpick is the litter of buildings. They seem to lack those tiny details that sell realism, and I'm not exactly sure if the lighting is coming from the back corner on them?

Looks fantastic! Agree that the buildings look a little bit less detailed than the landscape but that's just a minor thing. Like the light and atmophere very much. All in all an excellent first matte painting!

I don't have a clue about matte painting. This seems to be another fantastic display of your talent. The only thing that bothers me about the image is the buildings seem to be off kilter a bit(the spires on the tops seem off vertical). .

My only two real nitpicks are the one white cloud at the top-center of the image, it just seems a bit too bright and out of place, and the spherical buildings looking like they could topple over any second since they look to lean a bit.

Wow, this looks really good, I don't really have anything to add that hasn't already been covered. Great idea for a matte-painting, the landscape does seem very evocative and ripe for a story to run through it.

This is great. The only thing that is distracting are the clouds. They seem to be going in several directions. It could be an optical illusion.

You're enjoying your tablet huh? Awesome piece. I like it. let the buildings roll. I'm thinking they have a core inserted in the mound to keep them put. As a matter of perspective and opinion, sometimes less is more. Nice blend of colors and lighting for the atmosphere.
