Description

The high columns of rocks at the start of the upper Dells is named the Palisades. This looks like a scene from Jurassic Park or even King Kong. I still need to check out the lower Dells. Ok I have to make this a quick post. Tomorrow is a big day! It's Ren Fair! We have weapons to peace tie and garb to gather. Both critical and non critical comments are welcome and taken to heart. Thank you for coming and taking a look. Thank you for all the comments on my previous posts. I love and cherish them all. Have a most wonderful evening/ morning/ night/ day. Peace, Cheri

Lovely stuff! I could quite happily take all your rock pictures and use them for backgrounds in my own work:-) The detail is fantastic, and the colours outstanding! How do you manage to find so many beautiful rock formations?

Grand capture Cheri! I used to dabble in lapidary so I always find rock formations interesting and these are beautiful! I swear I can see nature spirits in there!

Oh this turned out nice!!, although zooming in doesn't really look good for some reason, maybe because we were on the boat and moving at the time? This would be such a cool area to hike and explore, so ancient looking and mysterious. I can't believe there aren't more movies filmed here. Sweet shot baby!! Tomorrow is going to be sooo cool, even my mom is dressing up, I can't be denied the camera to get some pics of her and Cheri, possibly a chance for me to post it? If any of you want to see it, please let Cheri know. Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Stellar clarity, colors and textures in this capture of the fantastic striated Palisades, Cheri! The 2005 movie version of King Kong is easily one of my favorite movies, way better than the ones that preceded it. And, I didn't know Oshkosh had a renaissance fair. Don't drink too much grog and/or rum.

Ren Fair is in Bristol Wisconsin. It's going to great! Dave is threatening to snap shots of his mom and I in garb. This year I am a swords woman. I guess it could be cool, as long as he don't make me look fat(er). LOL

I love this image! These rock formations speak to me of your part of the world like nothing else does. (Except cheese curds. Do you know we don't make 'em out here? I mean ... we have cheese, sure, and our cows are happy to share. But any cheese curds here are IMPORTED from Wisconsin. I love cheese curds! But I digress ... ) The rocks ... gosh ... they're just stunning! The layers, the way they're textured and carved ... absolutely amazing! Can't wait to see pics from Ren Fair! :P

These are amazingly primordial, and I love the colors! Ren Fair...I wish I was there! It would beat moving dental equipment, that's for sure! And I can imagine the photo opportunities! I love the lushness of the greenery, and real sense of place! Great work!
