Description

I went back to the beginning of my gallery today. Just a little over 5 years I've been posting my poetic and prophetic works here on Renderosity and my entire history of my marriage is there. Everything from the joy of making a fiancee to first fights and our marraige. I stem off from there quickly into pain and despair and drinking. All the lessons I learned as a young man live on in eternity in my gallery here. As much as we say we are not in control, I have created my own parallel universe here online and shamelessly shared it with all to see. Here in this space my life is an open book. Some parts more coherent than others, and as I read I relive the pain and agony of every moment of the past five years of my life. There was a particular focus on the moment's right before I separated with my wife. I can see the pain and agony and remember why it happened. But we're back together and everything is even more beautiful than before. There is even a poem entitled "To Rachel" who was my girlfriend while my wife and I were separated, written to apologize for ever even considering going back to my wife. As I read my own life in retrospect I can only see that this was all meant to happen as a part of my recurring theme, what is happiness without sadness. It was a lesson my mother introduced to me early in life and I never understood it until living it. And I realize the older I get the more Tallpocket's random comments make sense. A new theme in life arises now, listen to the old guy.

It is strange how we tend to open up here on line to people we don't really know in many aspects. I am sure all this happened for a reason and you have learned allot from folks and their comments...wishing you the best in whatever lies ahead...and yes, those are great words you wrote...listen to the old guy(s).

''And I realize the older I get the more Tallpocket's random comments make sense. A new theme in life arises now, listen to the old guy.'' HELLO! "LIFE is what HAPPENS as you PLAN it". WINK. Sometimes, this old man has learned, there are those who have simply been down 'that road' BEFORE you have traveled such. It doesn't make them WISER. It's just that they've seen the 'future' before others in THEIR time travel warp on this earth. My BEST to you and yours, KIND SOUL. It's WISE to look back to see WHAT made you YOU. Just don't get caught up totally in the PAST or you'll FORGET to LIVE for TODAY and the FUTURE. TallPockets/bls35mm/brian.

That's art for ya... I think we all display our bleeding hearts for the world to pick at, regardless of what we intend... I have read a few of your posts, and you are right. Happiness and sadness go hand in hand. You can't have one without the other- It's just "balance" I guess. Good to learn from it tho' Nice work...
