Description

I thought I was going to have to replant them, but wait ..... they are dark blue this year. Ok Grand dad morning glories are supposed to be deep purple. This year they are blue with purple in them. I have no idea what caused this. Perhaps it was are unseasonably cool summer. I know it caused them to be very late. They finally started opening Thursday and yesterday morning why making ready the car for the trip down to ren fair this one called to me with it's beauty and said take a photo of me please. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Actually it caught my eye when I was turning around to close the gate. My son was lollie gagging like most teenagers do and I figured I would have time to snap one of them off.

Actually, Ryan wasn't holding us up too much, Cheri just couldn't resist making sure she got a few shots of these. They are a lot more blue this year for some reason. I didn't know they could do that,....kind of like a leopard changing its spots! Weird, but pretty cool!! Sweet grab baby.

I have some out back all along my deck, but the ones out front are being very stubborn this summer lots of greenery but no flowers yet, I think its the lower temperatures we've had lately but I won't complain about that.. Nice photo, when mine out front do bloom I will take some shots for you...

Nice! The centre looks almost as though it's glowing! A bit fuzzy though - your camera? But definitely nice!

A very nice shot. Strange about the colors being different this year. Wonder what color they'll be next year...

Glorious shot Cherie! Some of the flowers here were off on their colors also. I had pink and white roses, both on the same bush! And everything is blooming later or not at all! Strange indeed!

Really stellar macro of the morning glory, Cheri! Love the color contrast in this one. But I didn't know they could talk and plead their case. Congratulations on a cool summer. Our summer has been quite hot, and whatever morning glorys still around have probably been fried already.

If you copy and past this link it will take you to one that was taken last September from the same plant, which I have had for four years now. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1876294

How pretty! It's really hard to grow these here ... they don't like our climate or something ... so when I see them, I'm always happy. This is just beautiful! I'm glad you took the time to get this shot.
