a wonderful collage of beautiful violets & pinks & turquoises & light blues, and clouds of light, and accents in rich maroons & deep pinks & blacks, etc. It's very active, but also very dreamy; and you have impasto, real thickness & real physical pigments all over. I love your little black & gray blobs all over the painting, they're like little creatures swimming in your collage. And you have some beautiful organic forms, rendered in beautiful hues and shapes—like the group in the upper right corner. Your little 'areas' are like mini-paintings, with a real oil paint texture; and you've mingled your usual background textures throughout—i.e., grids, meshwork, cheese-cloth, even lines scratched across the surface as with a palette knife. Some of your collages are like inventories of all the things one can do with a brush & knife—this is one such piece. Yet...it's all laid out with utter equanimity from section to section, and the mix is one of a dance, quiet and very musical, and punctuated by rich light-laden hues. Another masterful piece from you, you never fail.
