Surprising composition!

a real surprise, Emilio, because you've used large concrete photographs this time and you have fewer elements than usual. But it's quite beautiful, partly because of the images themselves—all fine captures of the complex patterns of bark, stone and fungus, etc—and partly because of the way you've woven them into connected flowing patterns. It's so nice to see this kind of imagery from you, because, while it's different, you still show your sense of infinite repeating detail, of variations on a theme, and of repetition of hue & shape etc: Only here, you show it through a smaller number of large entities. The earthen beiges & browns & the tree-bark grays are lovely, and your flowers & cones & other plant appendages are used quite beautifully throughout, as is the fence and your usual 'meshwork' in the upper quarter of the piece. Another beautiful work from you: You always give us consummate beauty and grace...it never fails.
