Description
Cultivation of fruit or nut-bearing trees provides an important range of nutrients, apart from the amenity of greenery in a woodland environment - as a small reminder of Earth on Mars. This brings about its own range of construction problems in designing a structure of adequate size to contain trees, while robust enough to contain the pressure. Here supporting compressive structural weight against gravity is not such a problem so much as ballooning internal upward 1.0 bar pressure against the ambient 0.1 bar atmosphere of Mars. Under development.
