Description

I hope someone can help name this flower for us, its not the best shot, (taken with a phone, in windy weather) I did do a search on all the identification sites but nothing similar came back and I had to wonder why they asked the colour only to give results with only white flowers lol! If you can name this, please do and I Thank you in advance!! Grows in Essex, in a pub garden, it is a climber, growing up the sides of the pub, the landlords have been there 20 years and this year is the first time it has blossomed and they also would love to know what it is. Have a great weekend everyone!!! Hugz Jen :o)

It is a trumpet vine, specifically it is Distictis buccinatoria. Hummingbirds love this plant. it is very hardy and it is advised to keep it pruned back as it will try to take over everything. it also sends out rootlets so that the vine grows in other areas, ie the middle of the yard, etc.

They are very beautiful. Have they been there 20 years and only now flowered or have they grown more recently?
