Description


These are a rather pretty group of rock formations called the "Coke Ovens" in Colorado National Monument, near the cities of Grand Junction and Fruita in western Colorado.

They resemble coke ovens, which are used to process metal. :) Not the most romantic name, but, to those of us who grew up in the land of mines, we have a tender spot for such imagery.
