Today, I was informed that this ceremony marks the 100th world where mankind has set roots. You know, some of our ancient ancestors doubted there was any need to go into space. But wiser men realized that we cannot keep all of our eggs in one basket. You, your children and your children's children are not just ensuring that mankind spreads throughout the stars, you are ensuring it's immortality. More than that, you are making sure that not just the human race survies, but that the compositions of Beethoven survive, that the writings of Sun Tzu survive, that philosophies of Plato survive, that the poems of Liara of Beta Minor survive.
