Description
Doesn't he look like a golfer who has just blasted out of a sand trap?
Male Red-bellied Woodpecker tosses seeds helter skelter looking for his favorites.
This was taken in early May during the first few days that I put seed out. This Woodpecker liked stirring the pot:-)

So gorgeous and the likeness to a golfer is right. A super action shot. My birds are like this too, and the shrewd birds are the ones that browse underneath for a feed as they get to have plenty.

The pilot comes into finals ...speed to high, flaps lowered... See's the field, aims... Then realising his mistake, tries to pull up and..... CRASH... straight into the dish full of seeds!!! Brilliant! Love it. Rob.
