Description
“Hey Frank, look at that guy on top of the bread van taking pictures. Should we wave?”
“Naw, he probably wants ‘action shots’.” “Did you get the latest altimeter setting?”
“Yep, 2990. Hey did you ever consider taking pictures of all that goes on? You know like the day to day stuff?”
“What do mean Vern?”
“Well, like stuff like, preflight, the planes we fly,, you know all this stuff?”
“Why, when they’ve got official photographers to do that.”
‘No, I mean, like the regular stuff. Not the ‘action’ shots, I mean like all this stuff we see and do.”
“What ever for?”
“Well you never know, maybe one of us may become an artist or something in the future and say forty years from now, you’re sitting there trying to recreate what you saw.”
“Never thought of that, but you’ve seen my attempt at art or what ever you want to call it. I’m not cut out to do that sort of thing. Roger ground, Ford copies. Command post wants to talk to us.
“Rog, switching over”. :)
All stuff built or modified in Wings.
F4's modified from Bazze's F4.
Background coutesy of Richardphotos.
Last of the F4 stuff (I think)

Excellent work and beautiful scene. This was one of my favorite jets in my day... actually, the F4J which had a longer range and a larger weapons platform. Great job and keep 'em comin!!!

Very cool looking Nam scene! Love the F-4... Great scene altogether and the first time I've seen a transport like that... Starlifter? Rob.

superb scene and great text!!!

This is top notch and the intercom between pilot and weapons officer takes us right into the cockpit. Great presentation. Both Rob (debbielove) and I have photos taken in June of an F-4 very similar to this with pilot Capt. Steve Ritchie's name on the side...and weapons officer Lawrence Pettit. They've both been featured on the History Channel in dogfighting recreations shooting down MiGs over North Vietnem.
