Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Woo-eeee, I know I don't want to be plucked by those talons. Great shot and some fancy color handling after the fact.

I wish I had the patience to create something like this. I tend to lose sight of a project that takes more than 3 days. That's why I rely on others to do the work for which I gladly pay to take it home. :-) Outstanding shot.

Wow! Tremendous image. You really captured the power of the eagle. Nice work.

yes, it's an amazing piece of work, especially the free & beautiful application of round 'panels' for each bit of feather. But it's also a powerful shot, because you got such strong light and reflection, and your background is this sea of blues & yellows. Very powerful mix, very powerful contrasts: You brought out the power, rather than just captured it. (And yes, I definitely saw it in your tale!) Maybe such a bird is one of your 'guides', to use the shamanistic term, part of your inner animal kingdom. Power is here!
