Description
Here you can see the opposite side of the cloister, and the wall on our right. If you watch well, you can see that the shot on the left is the same as yesterday's, but with a wide angle. The light tricks and the shadows in this building gave me a series of good shots, which I'll post in the future. As I said, here Flavia and me got a tiny place in the footnotes of the book of history. Written with a font so small you need the electronical miscroscope to see it.;D)
This building rests on the site of Roman and medieval previous buildings. It was started in the late 16th century, but it was finished only in the early 18th century as a convent attached to a nearby church. In the second half of the 19th century it became a Court of Justice. It survived a fire in 1920, and went on as a Court until the 1980s, when it was abandoned for the new building, a very ugly, grey structure near my apartment. With the move, most legal studies moved too, and the area declined, until after years of political bickering (a lot of money involved), it was opened last year as a container for art events, exhibitions, and the public library. We went there for the exhibition on Galileo, who discovered the satellites of Jupiter while working in Padova.
Thank you for your kind comments.

What a fabulous place! I love all the shadows that give it the abstract feel. Very interesting info. Very kewl that you and Flavia got sited in the history even if its too small to see, lol! Thanks for your story on my tale of the police, simply amazing isn't it? We are so far apart yet the very same scenario plays itself out. Sort of nice to know I am not alone:-)!
