Description

Another shot from MooseRidge Gardens. In the Japanese Garden there is a tea house, and on a wooden shelf sits this tea set. This image was perfectly sharp, but needed a little extra ... je ne sais qua ... in order to be what I wanted it to be. Hence the postwork. I liked it a bit better with the painterly vibe to it. You can decide for yourself ... .......... I don't EVER change my images once they're posted, no matter what anyone suggests. However ... today I've made an exception. I loved Ronnie's idea of putting a little bit of text in the corner. Thanks, RJ! You're the best! I like the balance the characters give the piece overall. I left the thumb without the writing, so you can see it both ways if you've a mind to.

In fact I would have been tempted to include some Japanese writing down the side :D Thought I'd again comment this sweetie, yes I do aprove, it looks great, I like it alot, but it was still awesome right of the bat :)

Wow, this has such a calm, zenlike feel to it; but then I guess that's exactly how it's supposed to bel. The characters only add to the effect. It's calm and serene and I like it very much.

I like this a lot. I agree with the plus value of adding the Japanese characters for balance. Obviously there is meaning beyond visual balance...how do you and RJ, who I don't think speak Japanese, come up with something meaningful...I know there are Japanese characters in my fonts...but I haven't thought it through further.

Superb image and great decision on the post work. Cha-Do was performed during my induction to my sword school. The memory of the pain from 2 hours of kneeling (seiza) is a friend that will travel with me for the rest of my life, I think! So, while the image is excellent, it DOES cause an involuntary twitch to form at the memory! Ha ha!
