Description

Although humans had visited countless planets, it was always quite a moment to be the first to step onto a new world! Never knowing quite what lay ahead - mystery, adventure, danger...however good the training, the girls knew that they were stepping into the unknown.... ____________________ This started with just playing with displacement trying to get a reasonable rock. Then I put them into a surface replicator that produced a nice rocky surface, and I thought that it needed a point of focus, and so added a Barbarella-type character exploring an alien landscape. I almost stopped there, the solitary figure against a featureless rocky surface made a reasonable image, but I thought it would be better having another figure, and then they needed a ship to be stepping from. A couple of Ron's smoke brushes completed the scene! Thanks for looking - have a great day! I'm looking forward to playing the Cambridge Rock Festival this weekend with Manning - Cheers! Phil P.S. The title One Small Step was clearly inspired by Apollo 11, but coincidentally is also the title of a Manning album - I only just noticed!

Glad you listened to your internal artistic voice and resisted the urge to "end" too soon LOL! Nice job of modeling the terrain, then composing the scene around it.
