Description

I have just had an amazing weekend, so I will deviate from my usual renders to let you know about it! As some will know, I play keyboards with a Progressive Rock band called Manning (www.guymanning.com for more info if you are interested - includes some free dowloadable tracks!). On Saturday we played our first big rock festival, at Cambridge. We had a good slot on the second stage and what a fantastic experience it was! We had a great audience, which grew throughout the set as people came by to have a listen and then joined through to the end - always a good sign! It was terrific to see everyone cheering, clapping along and generally having a great time. The photo above isn't the greatest quality but it's the best I have at the moment - maybe I should have smiled a bit more - I was really enjoying it! After the gig and packing the equipment away, I then enjoyed the rest of the festival through to Sunday night, seeing some superb bands and then getting back home at 4am this morning! Highlights were the sets by Uriah Heep, Breathing Space, Focus and headliners Asia - an unforgettable weekend! Normal service will be resumed next time! Have a great week - Phil
