Description

The Mustang had the Me-109 dead in his sights and was diving for the kill when the Messerschmidt suddenly slammed on the flaps, cut the throttle and lifted the nose, almost stopping in the air. The Mustang shot by, right into the sights of the Me-109. Thanks for looking and I appreciate all your comments.

But the Mustang pilot rolled inverted and executed a split 'S'. He caught some lead in his tail, but lived to fight another day! Great looking picture, Dave. Nice work!

Great scene, he's only got a small window of opportunity though as a diving Mustang will soon be out of sight.

At that range the 20mm Cannon shells would have torn the guts out of the Mustang or any Aircraft that close! Way to go... Great image.... Rob.
