Description
The Mustang had the Me-109 dead in his sights and was diving for the kill when the Messerschmidt suddenly slammed on the flaps, cut the throttle and lifted the nose, almost stopping in the air. The Mustang shot by, right into the sights of the Me-109.
Thanks for looking and I appreciate all your comments.

A very interesting image, and one that sets my imagination loose again.... The me109 pilot sure gave that mustang-pilot a nasty surprise... But is he an ace, or is it just luck? The me109 markings makes it the plane of the "geschwader kommodor", but no victory bars on its tail..., so in my mind this is not an ace.... Will he still be able to shoot down the mustang? I guess the model is the G (Gustav), no underwing-gunpods, so it is not hampered by performane-loss because of that. I don't see the tell-tale bulges of the 13mm guns, so I guess it is an early G-model, and thus most likely armed with 2 7.92mm MG's and a single 20mm cannon, which had better ballistic qualities than the later 30mm, so more than an adequate armamanent to hit a fast and nimble fighter, and probably more than a fair change for the 109-pilot to score a kill... Great work again.... :)
