Description
The early 1970's were a turbulent time. People all over the world were marching for peace. In Wisconsin radicals were making bombs. On the east coast, construction workers were going after marchers with baseball bats. In San Francisco, well, it was more like a party. There was music and food and souvenirs. Even the police were mellow. On November 6, 1971 a large anti-war rally was held in Golden Gate Park.

I was a sophomore in highschool, very introverted and mostly apolitical at the time. The draft ended in '73, and as a girl with no brothers or close male friends, that reality, which turned many young minds to current events affected me very little. Very interesting record of the times.
