I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

Very near my home town. A Saudi lodger I had last year said it was a disgrace and should be pulled down and redeveloped as apartments (!) Mind you, he thought a piece of antique furniture in my house was unhealthy and should be replaced. A goood shot, by the way!

Lovely shot of Corfe castle, it has to be one of the most picturesque ruins around. alanwilliams

Lovely historical capture of this beautiful architecture! The rolling hills make this place seem mystical and magical... hard to imagine battles in this place! Lovely sky and perspective!
