I first discovered photography at the age of 8or 9 when i was given an old box brownie and after a couple of years I progressed to a Kodak folding camera I remember it took a size 127 film.
My father built me a dark room in the loft and I spent many hours learning about processing and printing my films, both black and white and colour. when marrige and family came along time for the processing side of photography had to take a back seat.  After 50 years working we retired to Chard in Somerset southwest England (we think it could be the best part of the world). About 3 years ago we got into digital photography , recently my son Ian who has a site on renderosity (iambrose) talked me into joining, I am so glad he did as it's so nice to read the comments and see how other people view your pictures.Â

Cool shot! You should remove the strap in my opinion, if you have photoshop use the clone tool.

Cool pic, great detail. I agree with dunedan on the strap, and I possibly would have cropped it a bit tighter to lose some of the sky...but that's purely personal taste. Happy birthday, by the way! I.

Well done on leaving the jessies(straps) intact...which shows its a captive bird. Minor niggle is I would have liked to have seen more detail on the birds wings.

Wow awesome shot. Would you grant me permission to use? I want to see if I can sketch it then do something more creative down the road.
