Wonderful image, as usual.

Thanks for the memory, this was a configuration which promised a lot and came to nothing. I am still puzzled that the concept has not been taken up again for short take off and land which could give valuable fuel savings and added safety. The truism that politics rarely favours the best probably applies here.

Cool one! I think ... think.. there is one of these still alive in a museum.. Might be the science Museum, London or the Helicopter Museum.... Don't quote me on that.. but I'm almost sure.. A really cool looking idea that would probably work well now! Rob.

cool retro design.... I think even Jerry Anderson had a version of this on either Thunderbirds or Captain Scarlet.....

I had forgotten about the rotadyne...maybe an Osprey would be a nice counterpoint.

A unique aircraft, The first non-photo of this craft I have ever seen.

Fantastic aerodyne and great profile.

Would have thought this ideal for intercity travel. I believe the prototype was actually flown into London with no complaints regarding noise being received. Is one really stashed in a museum?

Cool 3way and very unusual looking craft

I made the huge Airfix kit and loved it. A recent article said that it was far too noisy for passengers, unless they were military who just have too put up with the roar.
