Description
Photo taken with my youngest grand-daughter Ruby when Mum was 90 and on the wedding day of my eldest son Steve (predatron) to Diane (Diandra).
Didn't my mum look amazing for the age of 90, she has always looked very young and her hair even though she is now 93 has not gone white!!!
PLEASE NOTE My cats are actually that big, they are British Shorthair and one of the larger breeds of cats, my dogs are smaller than they, being Bolognese toy dogs, also my mother is only very small, so perhaps the cats look overly big but I did get everything into proportion here :o) x
Original photo of Mum with Ruby taken in my lounge and there were no dogs or cats around at the time, all were added later.
The background is folkvangar's sit with me bgd 01, and the 2 upright chairs from sit with me too. So the whole scene looks rather different from the very first photo I took.
Photo of Mistapus who you see seated on your left was taken as he sat on the bathroom window sil.
Freddie the red silver tabby's photo was taken as he sat on the window sil in the kitchen. Carina sat near Mums left foot was taken in the same position as you see her there, but added later.
Photo of Madelena who you see seated on your right, was taken on my office chair.
Photo of Amy who sits on Mum's knee here, was taken on my office chair.
Neither Amy nor Freddie were born when I took the original photo of Mum with Ruby.
The picture in the background has been covered with Folkvangar's Lavender Art, and the fairy within it I put out of frame (she is my mother's and grand-daughters guardian Angel here).
As you know my mother has dementia now, and does not even know how old she is, and also has forgotten who Ruby is, and tomorrow she will have forgotten her birthday. She will come to mine and my daughter and her family will also join in the celebrations. Mum will be eating all her favourite foods, and hopefully have a wonderful day, surrounded by the ones who love her the most.

Jane this is such a wonderful birthday image of your Mum and since you told me days ago of her upcoming birthday this made my night. You put so much love into this amazing dedi to her and including the puppies and kitties was a stroke of brilliance. Your Mum couldn't look happier than she did then with Ruby and I love the look in little Ruby's eyes of feeling so content. I'm so sorry your Mum is going through so much right now and of course her and all of your family remain in my prayers.

Jane we are so lucky to have are parents this long...My Dad is 87 and Mom 85 and still at home...Your mother looks great and what a wonderful picture...My Mom's name is Ruby, I wanted to name my daughter after her, but she won't let me...Give her a hug for me and wish her a Happy B-day.

She's a very cultured and lovely lady. I see such a lot of compassion and fun in her face. I think she looks so very young! I can't believe she's 90 here!
