Description

This is one of two sculptures at the entrance to Doernbecher Childrens Hospital in Portland, Oregon. My twenty year old grandson is currently a patient there being treated for Cystic Fibrosis and cancer. Life is tough sometimes. This is for you, Jon. I love you.

I wish him the best. My daughter did volunteer work in the Children's Hospital out our way last summer and she just loved the experience they sure pamper their patients.

Can't believe I missed this wonderful capture, it surely is a beautiful sculpture and would be such a delight for all the children [and adults] visiting the hospital.

This is reminiscent of the 'Bremer Stadtmusikanten' from the German fairytale, when I grew up there - wonderful sculpture for children and adults alike. My sympathies for your family-members ... BB
