Description

This is image number five in a series of 7 male Dragonflies (each representing a different species). This year I had my first success with the photographic capture of one of them. I have since managed to get a lot of opportunities and several good shots. The only time I have seen a female was in situations where the male and female were flying in tandem and laying eggs. I have no idea where they spend the rest of their time. This is true of a couple of other species as well. This male has had some confrontations with other males or a close encounter with some predator. The wing damage is proof of that. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee
