Description
I couldn't visit a display of water lilies without taking a general shot of the pool filled with lily pads.
So, here it is. These are gigantic.
A little note on the wall of the pool stated that these pads are capable of supporting a weight up to about 70Kg and, in support of this, had an old photo of a little girl sitting on one them.
Amazing plants. :-)

I would also guess that they could probably take the weight of an adult laying down without much trouble. Spectacular shot and wonderful colours Kev.

I currently have 788 photos here on Renderosity though I don't get out as much as I used to. Age related ailments make Bryce a more inviting option these days. :-)

Well, maybe I was absent for too many Years, not to notice that! :/
To my Experience, we all photograph, what we appreciate and love, mostly in the Neighborhood! Maybe You dont have to look far to see keen Perspectives, Lights or Situations!
Unlucky to hear You feel "restricted". I am convinced, theres a Cure for every Ailment we suffer, but the Art is to find it ! ;) Best of Luck from the War-shaken Continent! :)

Thanks, though some ailments only worsen with time. In my case, it is Arthritis and COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). I do what I can to not give in to these complaints but time only worsens them.
I have, over the years taken many photos in my locale as I am fortunate to live in the beautiful Thames Valley. The river runs quite close to my back garden.
The photo above was taken while visiting friends in Sweden.

The Photo was quite a Success and is today fantastic, still. I´ve viewed some of Your Thames-Images, too, and yes, theyre quite good!
Sorry to hear about The Ailments, Life isn´t fair and mean the Rest of the Time! ;) But I roamed some scientific Databases: It is confirmed that American Ginseng, but not the Asian Species, can hold and withdraw COPD and Resveratrol supresses Inflammation. (But I have no personal Experience with that, I admit!)
I take as a swiss Knife "Ashwagandha", the Sleep-Berry. Its anti-inflammatory, too, and gives a lot Strength and Breath! Athletes use ist most, because it increases Hemoglobin up to 20 Percent more, so the Perfusion of the Organs is much better and the O2-Capacity! Maybe some Ideas for You!? :) Greetings from the Continent to the Isle! :)

Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into these. :-)
